Hurray! I now have a check engine light.

I've suspected as much since I've been working on this, someone pulled the bulb and holder and pitched them. I could have saved myself some time by checking with you guys first, but then I wouldn't have had an excuse to learn how to pull the instrument cluster, clean it all up and replace all the bulbs. I now have 18 spare license plate lights.:D :D  The good news is that I have a check engine light while cranking, but it didn't come back on during a 20 minute test drive. Needed a holder for the check engine, so now I have no Seat Belt warning light.

Hurray! I now have a check engine light.

A lot of our cars dont even have working check engine lights.
It's Gumby's fault.

I figure if it's stock, then the stock stuff should work. That also has a lot to do with my feelings about mods. How much stock functionality am I willing to give up for what ever the mod will accomplish?

Even from the factory, these cars didnt always have a working check engine light, my 3.8L bird doesnt have one, while my turbo coupe does.

As for your mods, it depends on what youre doing, and how far youre taking those mods.
