Cruise Control took a dump

My cruise stopped working yesterday and in Texas that's a problem. Was checking it out today and found some small broken plastic pieces around the clockspring that the cruise control wires go into. Im thinking that these pieces are what holds the clockspring stable because it is very flimsy right now. The contacts barely even touch it. I confirmed this by holding the clockspring down against them and the cruise works. So in short, im not sure what I need. Is this part of the steering wheel itself or part of the clockspring?

It's a separate part, obsolete from Ford. You might be able to find a dealerhip with one lying around - there's a post on it somewhere, from when the same thing happened to me. I'll try an' find it

Pre-Mustang steering wheels fit, so I don't see why they wouldn't. You could always mount the buttons on the dash like I did when I installed the aftermarket Grant wheel:

If your talking about the piece with three posts coming out that contact the ring I don't need that. I need the ring itself. Now that I think about it, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to change the "brush assy" as well. If you got some hook ups it would be greatly appreciated. Oh and it's tilt steering.

-according to uncle henry's catalogs, the plate on the back of the steering wheel ONLY comes with the wheel it self, which we all know are obsolete now, j-y or wanted is your best bet for that.  as far as the brushes, yes those i can get or your local ford dealer should be able to aquire them.....if he wants to....hope this helps. let me know if you cant get anyone for the brush set....
