Car falls six stories, intended suicide victim walks away

In a story too bizarre not to be true a man in South Miami drove his Mercury Cougar through a parking garage wall  down six stories to the ground. The driver reportedly told police he was trying to kill himself. Here’s the story: He puts the car in reverse, floors it, hits the wall, falls 60 feet and somehow lands upright! Those Cougars must have one heck of a suspension system. The idiot…I mean driver was airlifted to the hospital but only had minor injuries because, drum roll please, he was wearing his seat belt. When he gets that hospital bill he’ll be looking for a taller garage.

That's a pretty old one there. It was actually a 1993 5.0L cougar.

That's OK, it wasn't on this forum. It was on TCCOA about a year ago.

First time I've heard about this.
Looks like this guy needs a lesson in suicide 101.
By attempting this in his car, it seems like he wanted it to appear as an accident. It would have been much easier to jump but that would have been immediately labeled suicide.
