Restored the taillights on Layla

Check this out. I always hated how they had so much detail but the average Joe couldn't tell. So I painted the fins with silver leaf. I also took them apart, cleaned them, and reassembled with Sicaflex.:D

Those look nice!  What is Sicaflex?  Sounds like flexible silicon-based adhesive.  Am I right?

Correct. It also has a 1000Lb hold rating:D I got some from work...

looks cool, i wonder how the lenses would look if they were tinted with that VHT stuff, ive seen it done on IROC taillights, looks pretty nice.

I tried it once, it gets too dark. The back of the car looks brand new now though, it's really sweet!

i restored mine to when i first got my car, amazing how much  better they look. do u have any pics of the taillights after u tinted the lenses?

Looks good:D . Hmm I can see the lines in mine pretty good with out adding paint. Mabey it's just how clear the lenses are. Aren't the tail lights already smoked from the factory?

Everybody knows you never wash a TC aft of the rear wheels and below the beltline! You could throw your back out :D
