I dont think that they are a direct swap. They could probably be made to work. did you check all of the cougar and tbirds of the 83-86 years? Why do you want mark 7 doors?

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

its almost impossible to find 85-86 tbird/mercury doors in estonia or in near countries. I found one vendor in finland who said that 87 lincoln doors should be suitable for thunderbird 85 also.

The top part of the Lincoln doors is different. They have a sharp body line (roof line) running throught it,and the T-Bird/Cougar is smoother.Wish you were here. There are Birdsa and Cougars at every salvage yard around here.

I wish I was there too. Ya can't find one for love or money in eastern Canada either.

I don't need doors, but a TC hood, header panel, rear end and seats would be nice

while we are on the subject of doors....  are the 87-90? doors the same as a tempo? visually they look like t-bird/cougar doors.

 You're talking three completely different body styles there, and one is a FWD compact. Not to mention three entirely different chassis.

lol.....  ok the 87  but they all apeared to have the same doors to me

I highly doubt it. They were most likely just designed by the same person. The window frame appears to slant back on the Tempo. And I imagine they would be quite a bit smaller. Look at the gap b/t the door and rear wheel well. There is no way a Tempo has a longer wheel base than a T-bird.

the doors are EXACTLY the same, just the bodyside and window trim is different. Ford changed the Tbird/Cougar doors in 1987, but the older ones are the same as Marks.
