Options

Yay! 3 days till my 1973 buick electra is paid off!
i told my stepdad that im takin the heads off next weekend to have em rebuilt but he thinks i should pull the 455 cause once the heads are redone it'll put more stress on the engine...
whats everyone think? she's got 96k miles on her...

I'd check the oil pressure and compression. If they're OK your bottom end is likely fine.

I think its a good idea to have the heads re-done. The only stress they are gonna see is you beating on the motor because it will run better. Check out http://www.v8buick.com for more technical info. That is the heart of the Buick performance community. I have a 71 Skylark with a 455. Soon to be a modified 430.
