Wiring for either the buttstuffog or digital clock was identical, so either one used the same 4-wire harness.* You can easily swap one kind for the other at any time. I would also guess that the same wiring configuration went back to the 1980 models as well.Only the Tripminder had unique wiring due to the fuel computer component. *Actually the buttstuffog clock used just the ground, 12v+, and illumination wire. Digital used those 3 plus the dimming wire. Quote Selected
