Strut tower brace

I have a steeda strut tower brace from my Mustang that I'd like to put on my TC. I test fit it today and it fits, except that where it mounts to the firewall it runs right into the windshield washer hose. I could probably just drill another hole off to the side of this and run the hose through it, right (since it has a rubber grommet around it)?

Also does anyone know if the maximum motorsports stb will fit a turbo coupe? The holes on the firewall are there but the driver's side one has tons of junk around it.

My Maximum Motorsport strut bar fit perfect at the firewall pinchwelds. I had to grind the edge at the passenger side tower slightly because it interfered with the camber plate. It took about 2 minutes with a dremmel tool so it was no big deal. Without camber plates, or on a different car it should fit great. I would highly recomend it in either case.

...but, my car is a V8 car with vacuum brakes. I'm not sure if there would be any issues with your ABS .

prolly have the time of your life if it is the three point kind. If its ment for the turbo coupe then you are fine, if not you are stuck modifiying it.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Why's that?  The engine bays are the same.

As long as he has a FMIC (which he does) and it clears the ABS, then he's fine.  I've installed Mustang STBs on Tbirds/Cougars all the time.

Yeah it fits except for where the windshield washer hose goes through the firewall...and it looks like I'll have to cut or get rid of the plastic covers over the strut towers, but otherwise it should be no big deal. Also I'm convering to regular vacuum brakes which should give me some room.

I also have a 4-point MM k-member brace that I want to put on the car, as soon as I can get the factory brace off (the passenger side bolt WILL NOT budge...guess I'm gonna have to cut it off)
