Headers and torque converter Recommendations. September 10, 2018, 09:57:24 AM A few years ago I found and 1984 Thunderbird that only had 52000 original miles. It was an exact copy of my very first car at 16. I got it real cheap due to the fact he had taken most of the motor out of it to make it a race car but never finished. Thankfully he didn't due any changes to the stock body. So when I was 16 i always wanted a 5.0 in mine back then but my father wouldn't let me. I'm 44 so he has no say now! Ha Ha Ha!So getting to my question. I built a 347 stroker with a mild cam, Performer intake, late model explorer heads with roller rockers. Rebuilt a C5 trans. changed to a C4 bell housing, 157 flexplate, with an 8.8 rear (not sure on the gearing yet haven't had time to look up the code on the rear).Guess I'm looking to find suggestions for what headers would fit, long tube or short? and what would be a good torque converter for a mostly street/light strip car Quote Selected
