A tale of three sets of SN95 springs

Hello Everyone!

so, as some of you know, some others may not, I bought a collection of parts from another member here, and I'm slowly sorting through it all, figuring out what I can use and what I wont use for my build.

Today I found three pairs of SN95 springs.  I  have been told before that the SN95 springs will give my car approx.  .75" to 1" of drop, which i am in love with that idea.  But i do need help identifying which springs to use.

First off, I am fairly certain these are the front springs.

And then these both appear to be rear springs, but what is the difference between them?

This last set of springs had me particularly confused, as they are the same height, but one spring has more coils than the other.  Anyone care to chime in what I've got going on here?

In order of pics,
fronts,
rears,
and two different (not a matching set) of rears. The coils on the right side spring bottom pic are different thicknesses at different points..

As long as you're sure the fronts/rears came off of the same car.

FWIW, browse around on some Mustang groups on FB, and of course the corral. There's always someone with a set of springs for sale if you're unsure of what you have.

On my Sport, I had a set from a '96 or '97 GT...the dropped it an inch, inch and half or somewhere about that. Anything lower and I wouldn't have been happy. I live in the country.

My Mustang is just the opposite. I put lowering springs on, and the  thing sits higher than it did stock. I did the rears only. Maybe they're for a GT hatch. Mine's an LX coupe, so a bit less weight on the rear anyway...

Hell, I might have those springs from my Sport (it's been parted out) sitting here. If you want to see what my car looked like with them, I'm sure I can scare up a pic or two..

I got em from a member on here, he was pretty certain that there was one full set from a car, and then some extras.  I have no reason to doubt him.

Without the tags on them, it's really hard to tell what they are.

What car did the seller say they were from?

SN95 springs worked great in the front on my car. Dropped it about an inch or so. The rears, not so much. 98 GT convertible springs slammed the rear. I had to turn the spring perches on the Maximum Motorsports rear arms about half way up to get level ride height front to back. So take that into consideration, especially with the stock rear control arms.

I honestly didnt ask.  He told me they were from an SN-95, i was busy loading a literal truckload of parts that I got from him at the time, I'll ask him next time I contact him.

I was thinking about upgrading the rear arms down the road, so i'll  keep it in mind.  I think I'm going to swap the springs i have in, worst case scenario, I dont like the ride height, or ride quality, and I swap them out for something else.  I'm spoiled enough to have a lift to work on, so it will make short work of it.
