255 walbro fuel pump

Anyone put one in your bird. What did you have to do to make it work. The new pump itself is actually smaller in diameter than the original pump in the car. Also the original pump filter wont work because the inlet diameter is smaller and wont snap on. Would the fuel pump hanger ass'y out of a mustang work. It looks as if the new pump should mount vertical where as the original sits at an angle in the tank. Any help would be great. these turbos need alot of fuel at wot. :D

running one currently

had a small install problem such as yours i modifyed the sock to fit .very easy to do

i bent the tabs on the new "replacement" sock inward to grip more on the pump then pushed it up tight to the pump

note: the supplied sock will not work . go to the parts store for a correct replacement

Well...I havent installed it yet, but I bought my kit from Ron at APE. He puts together a kit that is specific to our cars rather than just a Mustang kit. This is a walboro kit that he adds the needed bits to. It might go in tommorrow if I get some time...
