Blower only works on high.

I have a 87 Thunderbird with electronic climate control, the blower on only works on high. Taninautosales@gmail.com say the have new units for $250 plus shipping. On electronic units have a resister that is replaceable. Anyone have any experience with this?

I have some used Electronic Climate Control panels that were working when I pulled them. I can ship you one for $45.

Run a test http://www.coolcats.net/help/atc.html

I might swap my eatc out to the standard setup. I hate pressing the buttons.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

The 87 EVTM shows the EATC uses a "solid state" blower motor speed controller.

I had to replace this in my 01 Grand Marquis. It is installed in a hole in the HVAC air plenum just like the resisters were.
