Cylinder head question

Hey,
When I removed the heads on my '85 I forgot to mark which one was the drivers side and which was the passenger side. Now it's time to put them back on and I feel like an idiot because I don't remember which one is which. They look very similar. Is there a chance they're interchangeable? I need to get the car back on the road soon, so any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm yet to see a V engine that heads aren't interchangeable side to side...

4 Valve mod motors are side specific. But ya, push rod v8's don't care what side they go on.

Do the 3.8 cfi's have the smog ports on the back or the heads? I've never thought about it, but I'd imagine one side would be plugged and the other threaded.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Yeah you're correct, forgot about those and 2v/3v for that matter(but then you'll never catch me working on one of those engines)... After I did valve stem seals on a 2v I said never again, sold my supercharged Marauder because I couldn't stand the thought of MAYBE having to go inside the engine...
