Will an 84 'stang engine fit?

I'm sick of the numerous problems my old tired 3.8 is giving me so I may pick up an 84 'stang engine of the same displacement.  My only question is whether or not it's a direct swap.

Yeah it is. I'm not aware of any differences whatsoever between a 1983-84 Mustang 3.8 and the ones used in our cars.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Well, I'll be getting the new engine next week and just need a couple of engine removal/installation pointers.  What am I going to need to unplug?  So far my list is pretty empty and I'm sure there's a lot more, but what I have so far is:

Throttle body/Intake (tps, idler, fuel lines, EGR, Temp sender, vacuum lines, tv rod)
Hoses/lines (coolant to/from radiator, to/from water pump, heater core, AC lines)
Misc Wires (oil sender, ac wiring, ground wire, starter wires/solenoid, alternator)

The V8 is not a plug and play.  There's the wiring and computer to deal with, the exhaust system, etc.  It seems like Amooset is looking to get his car back on the road with minimal hassle.

Amooset, check out my cardomain page.  I think I have some photos of my 3.8 install. If not I can post some here. You'll have to remove your front bumper and the radiator.  Be very careful removing all of the engine wiring since this stuff may be old and brittle. Just take your time and do things slowly.

Hell, if you want I'll give you my phone number and I can go out to the car and chat with you there about it.

Well, i've got an old-timer mechanic helping me out, so he should be able to help me out with anything major, but if there are any problems specific to fox 3.8, i could use that phone number :D.  I'm assuming you'd send a PM or you'll have everyone interested in engine swapping calling you, lol.
