Vacuum harness busted! Where to get another?

That plastic thing with two bolts holding it to the firewall, it busted, and the biggest non-brake-booster hose came off. I don’t know what else to call it besides a vacuum harness and I can’t find another; is this just something I should check s yards for or is there a source to get these from? I imagine with the 5.0 engine there should be a few out there but I can’t find them. My daily driver held together with duct tape to ensure the brakes work and engine doesn’t rev more than I want it to isn’t great.

Ebay has them in plastic and aluminum. I can't send a link from work, but they are on here. I think Blue Oval Industries makes reproductins of the plastic ones.

Mustang ones are identical, as are crown vics and most other fords have a part that is very similar through the 80's and 90's.

$5 says your motor mounts are broken which caused your engine to rock and tugged on the vac line that goes from intake to that vac line. I usually either lengthen the hose going to that plastic peice, or fix the motor mount or both.

I believe it is called a vacspooge distribution manifold.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Before I realized it was my best oken motor mounts eating my vac tree, back when I was 16 and knew nothing about carsz I'd swap one out ever few weeks.

Once local parts dried up, I actually started making my own with aquarium tubing. Next car I bought I realized it was the motor mounts because it pulled the hose off the nipple while I was watching it. I added a bit of hose with a empty pen as the splice. If it leaked, I put a bit of electrical tape over it.I've actually done that with other cars when they broke down on the side of the road quite often.

As a cable lineman, I always have a roll or two of electrical tape in my pockets.
