?? after turbo engine rebuild

:disappoin just got done rebuilding me 87' turbo motor (2.3). its a mild build with upgraded bearnings, and rings, and a ranger head. thes are my questions, (where does the map vaspoogee line connect to in the orignal spot ?)i have every other line connented in the right spot but this one. alsoGetting no boost well like 5lbs, so was thinking the turbo is no good (where can i get a stock IHI?) remeber mild build. last but not least it has a rough idle from 500 to 1000 rpm once you get to 1500 rpms it smooths right out and doesnt skip a beat, but it is hard to keep running, (has anybody delt with this before I start wasting money by chainging every sensor and computer control module?)

Thanks alot guys    Mike  ;)

there is no MAP on a turbo car, they use a BAP, which is vented to the atmosphere

i have a stock IHI, with no shaft play, but i need to check my current one first, since its making some noises im not used to
It's Gumby's fault.

As Shawn said...it's not a MAP...so no vac line gets hooked to it.

Also, in regards to your above statement.....run codes before you start replacing ANY sensor on the car.  Without that step, you are just wasting money throwing parts at it without actually diagnosing the problem.

thanks, im just used to newer fords with the map sensor it looks just like a MAP (3 wires going to it and a what looks like a vaspoogee line connector) im going to try and check for codes first. keep me posted if you want to get rid of the turbo (Tbird232ci)
