Throttle body studs.... Reply #2 – June 02, 2015, 07:52:32 AM I may do that. I'd like to find some nice stainless studs (not allthread). BUT, stainless bolts may be the way to go. Thanks Jerry. Quote Selected
Throttle body studs.... Reply #3 – June 02, 2015, 08:42:56 AM or get regular longer bolts, cut the ends, and thread them on the opposite ends Quote Selected
Throttle body studs.... Reply #4 – June 02, 2015, 11:02:48 AM That could work. Never thought of that. Most of the bolts that long have short threads though, and a long shank. Quote Selected

Trick Flow stud and gasket kit is ~$30. I saved $15 :hick:If you really want the studs: http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/TFS-51500093/1986-93-Mustang-50L-Throttle-Body-Gasket-And-Stud-Kit Quote Selected
Throttle body studs.... Reply #6 – June 02, 2015, 01:29:07 PM What's the thread and pitch size of them?If its standard thread, you should be able to get a 36" piece of all thread for a few bucks. If its metric, your screwed unless your really close to Canada. Quote Selected
Throttle body studs.... Reply #7 – June 02, 2015, 02:01:29 PM Just make them:I always just got a piece of all-thread: -put some nuts on it (use all the nuts to hold rod in vice)-cut the size you need with hack-saw-use grinder to smooth down the tip (turn while you gently shape tip)-run the nut down where you grinded it to clean out threads.-done :) Quote Selected
Throttle body studs.... Reply #8 – June 02, 2015, 04:14:52 PM I'm using bolts now. Not stainless. But I may just go get some stainless cap screws (allen wrench style bolts). I saw the gasket and stud kit, but already have new gaskets. I'm not an allthread fan. Yes, I'm just being picky Quote Selected
