Wanted: STOCK Air Inlet tube. Speed Density 5.0 SEFI Cougar/T-Bird

Like the title says; I'm in need of the stock air inlet tube from a speed density 5.0 SEFI motor.  Cougar/Mustang/T-Bird.... Must be the larger style one and not the one they made smaller on the '88 up Lincoln Mark VIIs.....  Looks like this....

Thanks.

As long as it's in one piece and not crushed, it's good.  Lemme know  ;)

You know I went from this.

To this.

And didn't notice a difference performance wise. The stock 60mm TB and stock HO intake are probably more of a restriction. If you're changing those out then the bigger air tube will probably be a benefit.

This is going on with a 65 or 70 mm TB (haven't decided yet) and a brand new set of Borla XR1's I've had laying around with some 2.5" tail pipes....

You've looked inside that necked down style tube, yes?  It  sure looks smaller than the stock TB opening....

Inner comparison of the 2.  Pics from Lincolnmarkviiclub.

I have a couple of other little things left to do on the Mark as well.  Washer fluid pump and wiper motor governor followed by pulling the tripminder and checking the ground connections.  The DTE function works intermittently.  Other than that the tripminder is perfect.

If you're swapping on a GT40 intake and bigger TB then yeah get the larger tube. With the stock HO I didn't notice any difference. In your case I think a 65mm or 70mm TB will be fine. Which ever one you can get cheaper. Or get a 75mm TB for the Cougar and swap the 70mm TB onto the Mark VII.

I love the way the tubular GT40 looks. I'd run one on my Thunderbird if I wasn't swapping to the Edelbrock Performer RPM I've got sitting on my workbench at some point.
