grille question

So, there is a grille in my trunk that is the same color as the top color (purple) of the car, I have no idea where it came from, any one here have any idea? As far as I know Base models and elans all had a chrome grille.
Current: 1986 Thunderbird, 105k 3.8/C5, 2 tone  Midnight Wine/Medium Taupe, wing windows, wire wheel covers.

Former: 1985 Cougar GS 115k Oxford White/Regatta Blue, 5.0, full console, 14" 8 hole aluminum T-Bird rims, Edelbrock valve covers.

Only TC got a body color grille in 85/86  and the 85 Anniversary edition was body color also as well as Fila edition.  Otherwise chrome was standard.

Someone painted it.

When i had my white '88 car, I sed the chrome off, sanded what I could, and primed and painted the grille to match the body. Looked sharp as hell. Was gonna do mirrors too...but for some reason never got 'em put on...
