Some 1/8th mile action October 08, 2014, 09:16:32 AM Copied and pasted from TF:Went to the 1/8th mile track for some test hits with the new turbo and tires.First run was a no nitrous pass with 28psi boost and 13psi in the tires. Went 6.99@100 1.63 60'. As you can see in the vid, car didn't hook very well.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2cE-fxvFfIThe rest of the runs were with the 50 shot. Second run, dropped tire pressure to 12psi and raised boost to 29psi. It was a decent run at 6.69@105 1.58 60'.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTVxl3FyKXsThird run, dropped the tires to 11psi and raised boost to 30psi. New best pass with a 6.56@107 1.53 60'.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwx6Y-E8LDAFourth run, dropped tires to 10.5psi and raised boost to 31psi. Car went too lean down track and I lifted before the stripe. Went 6.59@97 1.54 60'.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChfHIohgQscDuty cycle on the injectors was reading over 100% on the last run and it puked some oil out of the VC catch can. Today I pulled the pre and post filters off and the pre filter had a lot of debris in it. I would say at least a third of the filter was plugged up. I ordered another filter element this afternoon. I hope that was the problem because I was not believing I was out of injector with 160's, lol! Quote Selected
Some 1/8th mile action Reply #1 – November 09, 2014, 11:02:01 PM Kind of an update...Went to Tulsa, OK last month for the 2014 TF Nats and ran a new 1/4 mile best of 10.19@135. Actually took first in the bracket race. Here is an earlier run where I went 10.19@134.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAF_fhI5gL4&list=UU2J5KGsGlHn90WgxH7qetMQ&index=19Car was still too lean and collapsed the number one top piston ring. Engine is out of the car for new rings and bearings...gotta figure out why my fuel system is not keeping up. Quote Selected
