GT40/Explorer intake trade for another intake.

I've got a GT40 intake off a 96 Explorer with internal EGR and the boss for the ACT sensor in the #5 intake runner. No cracks or any damage. It just needs to be cleaned. I was wondering if anyone here had an intake they wanted to trade for it. Obviously I don't want a stock SO or HO intake in trade. I was looking for a Edelbrock or Trick Flow intake, that is if anyone really wanted a GT40 in trade. I'm just putting it out there:D.

My panther will eventually get a GT40 setup...I have the heads...I have only a lower intake since the dirtbag I bought the exploder mode-r from wouldn't contact me when I asked about the upper I forgot to grab. He subsequently tried to list this dirty upper intake on craigslist for exactly $175 for at least half a year. I laughed every time I saw it reposted.

So yeah, been very back-burner-ly looking for an upper for awhile...I don't know when the hell I'll have time to do the whole project though. So it's super-low-priority. But I wish the car was faster and could burn tires better. I need to put a Trac-Lok carrier in it too. Square one all over again. :hick:

2.5" Duals, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, Richmond 3.73s w/ Trac-Lok, maxed out Baumann shift kit, 3000 RPM Dirty Dog non-lock TC
Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...

I was going to slap this extra GT40 intake on the Mark VII but I thought if some one wanted to trade an Edelbrock/Trick Flow intake for it I could use that on the Thunderbird and then swap the GT40 from the Thunderbird to the Mark VII. That's the plan at least. Kinda why I wanted to trade.

If you really really need an upper I can get one easy. The junkyard by me usually has 3-4 5.0 Explorers every time I visit.

Yes it was. Cash of course. It was an entire explorer motor. It sucked at first, but I'm just not the confrontational type and I didn't see any net benefit from the whole bit of trying to involve the police, etc. Then you have an enemy. And as Lou said...they're really a dime a dozen. shiznit, I got what I got for $275.

And again, watching that thing sit....and sit.....and sit...AND SIT, with no alteration of price, was truly hysterical. As grumpy cat would say, GOOD. lol
