What computer to use with a H.O conversion

I going to do the H.O conversion just bought heads, and buying the rest of parts later. I am using the coolcats list of parts, so my question is what computer # to use I see they have some part numbers like DA1 just want a full part number to go by. Everything will be stock H.O parts and the whole top end, except mass air I will be keeping SD for now. I have an auto.

Guy above has a box.. great chance snag it if need one.

Now tmo (I threw this in cause I remembered it's sn95 junk ass and replacing it from one of my previous rides),  ad1 yada yada is in the last digits of the computer not is full part number. .. No need have full part number as it may reference build date revisions and such. Your after a specific set part # and not needing much more info then that.. any builder recycled should know what you want  ad1 was one of the better comps put out iirc.. (mind you I been away from f body or sn95 awhile so may have changed).

Now word of caution.. Be sure use complete harness from 1 vehicle only... If have scavenged harness from 2 vehicles make sure they match as in both autos or both manuals... You can repin to match but why induce headaches.

good luck.

I know they say I can use a DA1 5 speed computer, but might cause slight hesitation not anything to noticeable. They say the DA1 has a little better tune and can be found more of than the DC. I just want to know of any thing else like the DC computer 87,88 SD or newer that is for auto, I found one E7SF-12A650-C1A (DC) 87-88, Just want it right the first time. I think after 88 did they switch to MAF is that why there is only a couple of options?

I haven't looked at it in a while, but I'm pretty sure the one I've got is D9S.  It's speed limited, but if you cut or de-pin the VSS wire at the PCM, that goes away.  The PCM literally does nothing else with the VSS, so nothing is lost except the nanny.  I did 130+ with it before my rebuild when I had a stock Explorer long block and upper/lower intake with an HO cam and headers (about 280HP).  I've got quite a bit more now, so I'm having to MAF convert.  My D9S is available.
