Netflix Subscribers: What's in your Queue?

I just started a subscription with Netflix, and was curious as to what everyone has in their queue. Hopefully this will help me get some quality movies and tv shows! Fire away...

Who pays for that nonsense when you can download it for free? :p

I do, the quality of the downloads will not hold up to a 126" screen.

The thing you have to do with net-flix is to send it back.  They make their money becuse people will hold on to the movies for 3 or 4 weeks.  I make sure that my movies go back every Monday if I watch them or not.  Can always get it again.

Two week-ends ago spike TV had the godfather series on, drove me nuts with all the commercials.  So this week I got all three from netflix.

The service is great, our local store went out of business and blamed it on netflix.

Lots to choose from, have fun.

I tried the Wal-Mart version of this.  The thing that sucked was, when I filled out my list of the next movies I wanted, I didn't wanna watch those movies by the time they came.

Dont know where your downloading from but if you do download any of the movies avoid cam pots they suck horribly.

My roommate has been getting a bunch of sci-fi shows.  Star Trek TNG, Stargate SG-1.  Also a lot of classic 80's shows are coming out on dvd.  A-team, Macguyver.  I don't know what you're in to, so it's hard to make recommendations.

The purpose of having netflix is to make "backup" copies of movies that you "rightfully own".  You have a DVD burner?  Copy a disc the same day and send it back.  You should be able to sqeeze in 3 a week at the least.

I had a friend who did that, and now he's in jail. Ok, just kidding, I wish I had a DVD burner!  :giggle:

Part of the reason why I like Netflix is their huge selection. TV shows, foreign material, independent movies, you name it - stuff that might be impossible to find in good quality on the net. Plus, one of their shipping centers is right next to my place, so shipping is one day. If you do it right, for $17.99 a month, you can get 36 movies - so about 50 cents a piece. And blank DVDs are about 25 cents each. It's really no wonder why alot of people are burning the Netflix DVDs instead of renting them at Blockbuster (~$5) or buying them ($15-20+). Defintely something to think about, and i'm sure movie distributors are worried about this.
