hmm... parts car?

Going to look at this car saturday. guy says it drives fine, but I'm thinking frame damage.

Looks like lower miles and seems to be in good shape otherwise. 5.0, that's all i know about it.

I'm thinking grab the power steering rack, motor mount brackets, front clip (ditch the cruddy headlights on my 87 bird) and headlight wiring. after i see the car I'm sure i could think of more. wonder if its a full digi dash or console car? Could be lots of good parts. maybe trade out some junk tires, drive it to the junkyard.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

It doesn't look bad enough for frame damage

If there wasn't a crease infront of and behind the wheel well, id agree with you. the trunk is pushed up. i will see how the doors open and close, and get a better idea of the overall condition.

if there are any obvious gaps in body panels front of the firewall, i probably won't be too interested in it. to be honest though, id much rather have an 86 tbird then my 87. But I'm getting sick of playing musical cars and actually wanna fix one for a change rather then limp it along for a few years.
