What are they worth?

How much are a set of super sweet headlights for an '88 Bird worth. Nice chrome inside, beautifully clear lenses? Never actually looked into it before.

A lot. I've been scouring the u pull it yards for a pair. My aerobird spare coin is at 0 these days.

The Sport's budget is exactly zero dollars right now. I feel your pain.

Remember there's always the handmade option. And you don't have to start with great examples.  A guy like you has spares, and TBirdX3 vacu-forms clear outer lenses.  From there you just need projectors shrouds, HID bulbs and ballasts. Patience for delicate work and details will take you the rest of the way. With projectors the reflector housings don't need to be chrome, so you can paint them any color you want.

I like the projector lights, but have one problem with them. I think the single light in that big housing looks unbalanced. The round light doesn't "fit" with the rest of the front of the car in my opinion. I know the actual function is probably way better than stock, but I may just be too picky about things, or way overthinking it. LOL.

At least for a Cougar you have the option of using Lincoln lights. We have no options for a factory light.
