serpentine belt size? October 14, 2013, 08:41:42 PM I have a 351w with the mustang front pulley set up, I modified the P/S and A/C bracket to keep that stuff, (just like the bracket you can buy) and no smog pump, what is a good way to measure for belt, or if someone already has the size would be great? serpentine belt size? Reply #2 – October 14, 2013, 09:06:41 PM With Ford OEM brackets and no smog my 408w uses a 86" belt... like scott said use a string and if your tensioner has a range indicator make sure your in range. I actually measured bought a belt and than decided to go 1.5" smaller to get my tensioner where I wanted it. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gtr-4060860 Quote Selected
serpentine belt size? Reply #3 – October 15, 2013, 10:48:15 AM you can also hack saw off a chunk of the aluminum on the tensioner where the tab hits the stop.cut away some of the stop area to let the tensioner move even more .... that got my son and i into the same belt that is 18.99 at napa if the cost is still the same.
