Stick EEC works with manual or auto.
Auto EEC will work the best with an auto trans only. Something about keeping the rpms up a bit between gear changes. No bueno on a stick car..

If Chance is keeping an auto, the VM1 will work, if you guys are gonna throw a T5 in there, nab the DA1 for it...they're the same thing, basically, but the DA1 is the manual version, and it will work with both transmissions. :)

Auto ecm's work ok on stick cars. The only drawback is they tend to hang the idle for about 3 seconds when coming to a stop (think traffic light). However, if your car was born auto and you change to a stick ECM you MUST change the O2 sensor harness. They are different auto to stick. Long and short version:

Auto computer must use an auto o2 harness regardless of the trans
Stick computer must use a stick 02 harness regardless of the trans.
