head gasket reccomendations?

Looks like it belw around cylinder #3.

I would use at least ARP bolts this go around. When my engine was first put together with GT40P heads it had the FRPP gasket kit. When I put the Edelbrock Performers on last year I went with ARP bolts and Fel-Pro 1011-2 head gaskets. The ARP bolts are far more beefy than the bolts in the FRPP kit. I'd get the ARP bolts and Fel-Pro 9333PT1 head gaskets. From what I've read this is what most Mustang guys who have boosted engines use.
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

I haven't tried the 5.0L studs with the engine in the car, but they may not work unless you jack the engine up.  The studs require a lot of extra room to drop the heads down and get everything lined up.  I'd suggest ARP bolts as well.  You probably have better things to spend time on than do another head gasket.

Hmm.. has anyone done studs with the motor in the car? I havnt bought the bolts yet and I'm still on the fence about what to get.

Good to know. Maybe I'll get the studs then. I'll see what they have in stock at mustangs unlimited. Whatever I get, I want to have it by tomorrow.
