Remember FUSE 13

Well the explorer ran for quite a while but it came back. Remember it blew fuse 13 and i put a new one in. Held for quite some time. But check this out. As you remember that fuse fed the O2 heaters. Well look at this. But the O2 code is not for the heater DAM. Now i have to dig in and find out what the ECM does not like about O2 in the 2-2 location????

Bank 2 catalyst monitor.  Driver's side down stream. That's a switching code.  Exhaust leaks? Is the wiring jacket for the sensor blocked, caked or zip tied?  You know they sample atmospheric oxygen through the wiring harness, right?  Or simply, have you checked the PIDs and fuel trims?  I know these SOHC 4.0s have o-ring problems when they're cold, they throw lean codes and catalyst efficiency codes.

Did you ever check that harness for chaffing against the drive shaft or burning against the exhaust pipe?

I will check that out in the AM. The truck also has a hole in the left cat where it enters the cat from the exhaust manifold. But i have to remove the 2 bolts from the exhaust manifold. I know they will break so i am going to tractor supply tomorroe for a fresh set of COBOLT DRILLS. Well thanks for the tips guys. Those 4.0 engines always have Lean codes. They drive me nuts fixing them. Along with EVAP Codes and that rounds out the pain in the ass with this engine. Will post back as soon as i get the bolts out or drilled???
