You never did say what wheels you were using? Stock wheels?

Glad you got it sorted, but I echo what Tom said about a wheel perhaps not being seated properly.

The issue wasn't the lug-nuts themselves, but something else.

Perhaps since his lugs weren't tight, the wheel wasn't seated tightly on the rotors and/or drums and that was where the wobble came in.

If there were indeed a lug nut issue, that would be my best guess, without looking at the car myself prior to repairs.

OP, if you were driving for a time with loose lugs/lug nuts, insect your wheels to make sure the lug holes didn't get chewed out...that will come to be a problem later.

I had a tire shop forget to tighten two lugs. ended up using a drill, punches and chisel, grinder.and cut off.wheels to.get it off. first thing I do before any real trip or anything is double check the lug.nut.and always.before.leaving.a tire.shop.

if your.wheels.aren't.hubeccentric, your asking for trouble in my opinion.
