problems starting

well my car has a problem starting somtimes i have no idea why, the car starts up but turns off right away...the engin only has 77 thousand  miles on it and its a v6. Any thoughts or help would be nice

tfi. Its the little plug in on the front of the distributor. You will need a "special" peice of shiznit aluminum tool to get the steal bolts out. I stripped two "tools" before I got one bolt out. Luckily they took it back with out any questions 3 times in about 2 hours.

I have an 86 cougar with CFI and 67,000 miles. I've been working through and solving problems lately similar to yours. Can you reply and provide more info and symptons recently about what is happening ?
