Column shifter linkage

Does anyone have a picture of the column shifter linkage from the firewall to the shifter handle? I have a picture of the linkage from the firewall to the trans just not from the shifter to the firewall. I'm trying to take any slop out of it and I want to see if there are any bushings between the firewall and shifter on the inside of the car.

Found one. It looks like there is only a rod that runs from the shifter to the linkage on the outside of the firewall correct?

that's the way I remember it. there's about 10k brackets that bolt under the car.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

That's what I want to take out. The linkage is fine. The handle pulls forward a bit too easy for my liking. Being that it's just a pin that holds the handle to the rod I'll probably just have to live with it.

what I did in my van, was drill it out an use a small bolt and lock nut.... the pin actually would wiggle out. it got rid of all the play in the end
