custom dash/electrical ?

i seen the post of a 95 stang dash in 88 bird wouldnt you have to use a v8 motor from a 95 or could i use my 347 from 87yr stang. what about the sensors. ive already taken my climate control out plus the fan motor so all i will need to run is my cluster. the wiper and directionals are on the collum.  headlights ill have figure it out i like the look of that dash.

im not 100% sure of what youre asking here

im assuming that you want to put a 95 dash in your 88 Tbird, and use your current 347, correct?
It's Gumby's fault.

use the 347 engine. aslong as you use the computer that the engine came out of it wont matter too much. I dont know about makeing the dash functional though. Some of the guys here may be able to help.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

you will prolly need all of the sending units for the newer dash. I think they will fit the older block, But you will prolly needs lots of mods to get it to work right. The biggest thing is going to be the speedometer. It will either be electrical or cable driven. First you have to figure out which one is which.

i guess most fail to realize that the 95 stang GT is a 5.0, and the 3.8L stangs use most of the gauge senders as the 5.0

the dash will work, as long as you use the senders required for the cluster youre using
