They would have had to be custom made/modified.

any later model Thunderbirds in Australia would have to be personal imports.
one of the requirements over here is orange flashing indicators.

On mine, the reverse lights were rewired to be indicators/turn signals instead of the factory red flashers.

Another one has showed up locally... this time an 87!

$5500 -
Due to unfortunate cirspoogestances, I need to sell my '88 Thunderbird.
I purchased it from a Ford dealer, as a demo, in '89 when I was working there.
It is a 1-owner, legal Personal Import (with Compliance Plate fitted), with only 106,210 genuine kilometres... it has been in storage for around 18 years.
It is registered until September, but will need some parts replaced - brakes, tyres, windscreen, bushes, etc. - to obtain a RWC.
There are some small hail dents, and the roof needs to be repainted. The dash upper surface needs to be repaired.
I need to sell it for the best reasonable offer. It is located in Parkdale, Victoria.
It drives, as expected, very well.

Interesting that the brake MC is still on the left side of that engine bay in that '87. Do they run some crazy linkage behind the dash? The blue '83 shows the MC location on the right side in the engine bay pic.
