1988 5.0 T-Bird

Rusty - Rusty - Rusty. Did I say it has rust? 1988 Red T-Bird with the gray interior. I drive her 2 or 3 times a month to work to keep the charging system and fluids going. I plan on replacing her soon (next 30-60 days). It has about 133,000 miles. I bought it from the original owner 4 years and 35k miles ago. It has the sun roof (works), power windows (very slow operation), power locks (opens from pass. side and locks from driver side), power driver seat (works) and power mirrors (work sometimes). A/C no good. Dash has a crack, driver door panel has a couple broken tabs by speaker, seats look O.K. - but offer little support. Tires are about bald. Brakes are good.

The rust is along both door bottoms, rear of front fender, rear wheel wells. PA. car.

I will be removing the 5.0/aod for use in my old 1966 Mustang. I hate to send her to the crusher, yet will not waste my time pulling 10 and 20 dollar parts to sell. In my dream world, someone will want to take the whole thing for what is left.

Just to be clear - I realize it ain't worth much and it will take the right buyer.

Speaking of buyer - how does 100.00 sound? I will take offers and set up the time to remove the engine/tranny when the time is right. I am in no hurry, so I can sit on it for several weeks if that helps somebody.

I can take/send more pics. This pic makes the car look good.....it ain't.

And I would drive it to you and remove the engine/tranny to take home - if it was not so far away. It runs/drives good.

I have no doubt it would make it. I drove it straight through from PA., 18 hours...no problems and 28 m.p.g.

Jerry, for you, that could be fixed in a New York minute, as the saying goes, and appropriately enough! lol

OP, I'd give you 150 for it, but then there's the question of getting from you to me. ed shame that nobody has came up with a working teleportation device..

I'm just trying to make folks aware. It is not a pile of junk - it could be fixed up easy. That is why I'm trying to save it. I would also hate to have someone get all excited about getting it and then be mad about having to do the rust repairs....It is a nice car, less the rust issues. I will go out and take a few close ups of the rust that I speak of.
