a wheel question January 30, 2013, 01:41:56 PM So I have the Bullitt wheels on the bird, but the centercaps have the mustang tri bar emblem, and of course I think that they clash with the car obviously not being a Mustang..Question is, where can I find a set of centercaps to fit these wheels that say Ford, or have the blue oval?I'm not interested in anything else. I DID find some caps that have "SVT" on them, but at 50 bucks each, and the fact I don't really want anything like that on there, it's too much.Plain ones would probably be ok, but I'd like to have something that says Ford.Just simple, not overstated or flashy elitist like SVT.I also found some that said 302, but I think they're not very sharp looking.I've looked at american muscle.com, and late model resto, but can't find what I seek. Any ideas? These ok? Quote Selected
a wheel question Reply #1 – January 30, 2013, 03:31:32 PM Paint them black until you find a deal on some ford ones Quote Selected
a wheel question Reply #2 – January 30, 2013, 04:10:16 PM You could paint them black but the Mustang emblem is "raised up" or embossed or whatever. It wouldnt look right, IMO. I'd be curious to see what you find. I've thought that it would be cool to do a 5 lug swap one day and put the 18" polished bullitts off my '07 GT onto the T-bird. Quote Selected

a wheel question Reply #4 – January 30, 2013, 04:42:16 PM The caps on mine are smooth. I'll go snap a pic in a few and post it. They (american muscle dot com) have plain black ones, about 7 bucks each. Think I may just go with those, as the wheels are gray, with a natural lip.Again, pics of MY wheels would probably help form an opinion. I know that wheels can make or break a car...and centercaps are usually the second thing I look at on a wheel. One could have a turd (like mine!) but the wheels will improve it by 90%....Anyway, pics forthcoming, stay tuned.Oh, and these are Ford wheels, not knockoffs. Sadly, one has a dent in the bead, but does hold air, and two have scratches on the spokes. Still, worth it for 250 bucks though. Here's the capHoly shiznit that's big..I could paint 'em, but i'd want to get them the exact same shade as the wheel itself. If they were black, I would for sure. a wheel question Reply #5 – January 31, 2013, 12:11:09 PM Huh, those centercaps are a tad different than the ones on my '07. Wierd...Here are what mine look like: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/attachments/2005-2010-mustang-gt-tech/16268d1146803760-dull-18-polished-rims-img_1139.jpg$250 for a set of polished bullitts! That sounds like a killer deal to me! Quote Selected

a wheel question Reply #7 – January 31, 2013, 01:02:23 PM Yes sir.Sadly, I need some brake parts...none of the parts stores carry 'em. I need the little pins that go into the wheel cylinders..all 4 of 'em, plus two other little pieces, can't remember what they are called. I'll have to snap a pic.I would've bought new wheel cylinders, but they don't come with those pins either. (Oddly enough, the 9" drum wheel cylinders DO come with them..)I WILL get new w/c, but no point of them yet, till I have those other parts. Looks like I need to find a 10" drum Fox CatBird.. ughh. Here's the Sport with the Bullitt wheels:http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=31419&d=1358820798 Quote Selected
