Any .40 S&W owners?

Picked up a nearly brand new Walther PPQ yesterday. Great gun, mild recoil.

Anyone here have a .40 with any tips that a guy like me might find handy?
(I've several handguns, but nothing as potent as this one lol)

Better get used to it ammo is scarce around here. You know guns dont go bang without ammo. And this government knows that. Guns are protected under the constitution but NOT AMMO!!! And it seems like ammo is quite scarce lately. WONDER WHY!!!

Nope, no .40 S$W. I've always wanted a "Phalanx" in my back yard for personal protection. After watching in action up close, I think it would be perfect. The only real problem is it might be a bit intimidating to my good neighbors, not to mention if it went off in the middle of the night it might give everybody a heart attack (including myself).

Actually, I can buy every round for the calibers I own at wal mart (except the .303 Brit, and nor are they so cheap anymore), not that I pick up my stuff from that corporate whouse, I usually try to buy from the one-off store that's 25 miles away. I pay a little more, but I'm ok with knowing that the profits (mostly) stay in this state, let alone country.

Ammo is actually pretty available here, and I can buy a box of of -06 rounds (20 cartridges) for nearly a buck and a dime apiece. Can't reload 'em for that, unless you buy 1,000 rounds' worth of supplies AND have the press. Doing that many by hand wouldn't be very feasible.
