New member- turbo question

Hello everyone, I'm looking at purchasing an 86 Cougar RX7 turbo and had a question. The owner said the turbo had been gone through and switched from a 4 blade to 5 blade turbine. I'm not familiar with turbos and have no idea what this will do. I'm assuming its a performance enhancement? Any info would be appreciated!

As long as it boosts well and doesnt smoke it should be good.

huh, I've never heard of that. I guess it would make better spool time but i'd surf the web and try to find a swap like that to see if it is even real.

Hmm, sounds like seller horse hockey to me. If the turbo was replaced, ask for the supporting dospoogeentation, if rebuilt, ask for dospoogeentation.  Note: Not all T3's are created equal as the A/R varies from model to model.
