17X9 wheels up front on 86 TC June 13, 2011, 02:37:24 AM I am currently running 17X8's (+19mm backspacing)in front and 17X10 (+25mm backspacing)in the rear. I just pciked up some 17X9 (+20mm backspacing)for the front because I wanted a deeper lip.I did a test fit and the come very close to the shock. I plan on using the same tires for now which are 245 45 17's. Is this going to be a problem or should I add a spacer?17X8 space from shock (car raised)5 17x9 space (car raised) Quote Selected

17X9 wheels up front on 86 TC Reply #4 – June 13, 2011, 02:26:57 PM Mine fit fine as well. The Cobra R wheels I did have....the chrome ones, they had to have thin spacers. The 10th ann. Cobra wheels I have now, 17x9 up front, 17x10 out back....perfect fit. Quote Selected
17X9 wheels up front on 86 TC Reply #5 – June 13, 2011, 10:39:03 PM Ok. I installed them this morning. ME LIKEY!! I was afraid that they would stick out, but they dont at all. I did add a small spacer and pushed the strut in a little, and they dont rub, so I'm a happy camper.I might roll the lip a little, but for now its fine.Pics... Quote Selected

I know when I go on long drives and pull over to take a nap, I really miss those puffy pillow type headrests Quote Selected
17X9 wheels up front on 86 TC Reply #8 – June 14, 2011, 04:27:44 PM i never use my headrests anyway. In the end, I'll probably keep the Sport's headrests.I plan on having a custom logo stitched into them when I have the seats done. Quote Selected
