Threw my hands in the air!!!

I greatly appreciate everyone's help in trying to solve the high idle and stumble problems I was having with my HO/T5 swap.  But on Friday I trailered the car to a local guy that's a wiring guru.  I really did want to solve it on my own but at this time of year my "to-do" list is rather long and I just want to get the t-bird done.  So he's going to start on it this week and figured he could solve it quickly...which I have no doubt that he can...he's done other work for me in the past and done very well.  I'll post updates as I learn more.

In the meantime....I have a pool deck to build..........:punchballs:

That sucks when you have to take to somebody, then find out it was a really simple fix, but, you gotta do what you gotta do to get it done. I can feel your pain. When I went through the electrical issue some time ago, it was one small wire that had the Sport down for a week. Luckily I was able to trace it down with the help of members here, but I was ready to take it to a shop. Hope they have you fixed up asap. Keep us posted.

Sometimes it's better to have someone take over than to get frusterated and give on it all together. Plus it frees you up to get that deck built!

I was starting to dread looking at it setting in the garage.  If something sets for too long with no progress it starts to bother me......it was getting to that point.

You defenately made the right decision then. Hopefully it won't be anything major and he can get it back to you quickly and without charging you out the wazoo!

It's done, done, done!!  My buddy called today and it's done!!  He swapped it over to MAF. Turns out the SD computer was shot...the 5V feed to the TPS was putting out nearly 9v.  So he had the parts and swapped it over to MAF and it runs like a champ.  I'm going to pick it up tomorrow (Sunday) evening.  He's the owner of a couple quick fox'stang's (low 11's on motor and low 10's on spray and another turbo 5.0 that nips at the 10's) and according to him it's impressive for a stock 5.0L w/ bolt ons.  Traction is impossible in first and sketchy at best in second gear.

I can't wait!!!

Got home an hour ago and unloaded it.  Once the roads dried I took it for a scoot.......Wow, Wow, WOW!!!  This thing is going to be fun!!!  You guys that still have the stock 'bird 5.0 and an AOD have NO IDEA what you are missing.  If the weather is nice I'm taking it to the track on Thursday evening.  May have plates on it tomorrow!!
