87 Bird intercooler removal

So I've had my bird over a year now, and it's time for a tune up. I already replaced the cap and rotor, next is the spark plugs and wires. My problem is how do I take off the intercooler? My manual says to disconnect the aspirator hoses, loosen the boot connecting to the TB, a nut(or bolt), and the boot connected to the turbo. Removing from the TB is obvious, and I see the hoses connected to the intercooler, do i just wiggle off the hoses from the intercooler? and as for the one connecting to the turbo, I assume I loosen the clamp connected to the intercooler? Let me know how you did it and which way is best for easy install/remove! Thanks!

Welcome to the board!

Removing the IC is a quick and easy job.  Take out the two 10mm (I think) bolts from the front that attach it to the bracket.  Loosen the clamps at the the TB and the turbo outlet.  I unhook mine so the couplers stay on the IC, but it doesn't really matter.  I have found it easiest to pop the TB side out first then rotate it while pulling up to get the turbo side out.  Good luck!
