Gone for about 4 years but Im back

I dont know how many will remember me but at one point I belive myself to have be a big part of this community, not so much here but on the cougarnuts site and the catjam shows.
So where have I been?  Dealing with life's trials, avoiding "personal relationship complications" with other members that are probably mostly my fault.  Well the past is what it is but its time to move on and after a drunken revisit to the past via catjam pictures so graciously hosted by Eric, I have to say I really miss the old days with my cougar and tbird friends.
So where am I now, after year of being a fabricator in ohio I opted to join the US Navy. (best decision of my life) and Im now and aircraft structural mechanic working on MH-60R helicopters here in San Diego.  I still own my 96 cougar with a dead mark 8 engine and a garage full of aluminum mark 8 parts to complete the old project, along with the 76 comet some of you may remember.  But those are all in storage back home and inaccessible to me now.  I've recently bought an 04 RX8, finally breaking my nearly lifetime steak of ford and mercury vehicles.
So thats basically it, Its time to put the negative past behind me and hopefully move on with some new friends and old here.

/Nick

Great to see you're still around.

What happened to the DOHC in the Cougar? It seemed to run well when you had it out a few years ago.

I had the transmission rebuilt (blown int. clutch seal) and the day after i drove it home from the shop I was on the highway and I got a temperature spike and a bad knock before i could get pulled over.  Through troubles of life I never made the time to open her up and rebuild.  I think its just a major head gasket failure as coolant was entering the cylinders.  For now she rests.
