Fuel sender unit repair

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a webpage with very detailed instructions how to repair a fuel gauge sender and WHAT CAR USES THE SAME CERAMIC PIECE which fits directly on the place after the old one and has the same parameters.
It is one or two years when I spotted it somewhere, but I can't find it now at all. I forgot to bookmark it :punchballs:. Can you help me please?

Thanks, but it isn't the page I was looking for. I know about this topic.

I'm just thinking more and more about making replicas by myself. I have access to thick layer lab, so I can use these technologies (I'm still university student). I know, how difficult is to make these sensors, but I think it worth it, when I make like 20 or 50 pieces.

a potentiometer with a min & max that is achieved within 120deg swing would be ideal,, approx 120 ohms would make it universal to all the 83-88 cars.

the base electronic cluster reads low resistance when full (8-12 ohms) and high when empty (60-86ohms).
the fully electronic cluster "star wars cluster" reads about 120 or so ohms full and about the 10ohm range when empty.
the details are in the link.

while working on my sons guitar, i noticed his pots had that kind of range.

I am not really sure why the OEM pot design is the way it is but,,,,,,, it is what it is.
good luck on this, your leading the way, there is a market for this stuff im sure
