Having trouble finding a transmission pan. January 11, 2012, 11:24:26 PM I have a 1987 Mercury Cougar LS 3.8L V6 TBI and my transmission pan is now shot. Ive been searching all the junkyards here in Sacramento, CA and on the internet but I have had no luck finding one. I would like to know if anybody here would have the correct part number for this tranny pan? Or of a possible place i could get one? Website or any other info is greatly appreciated. Quote Selected

Having trouble finding a transmission pan. Reply #8 – January 15, 2012, 01:34:16 PM Some guys have swapped to the larger cfi system in the 5.0 cars, like the crown vic. I would imagine the only parts that really need rebuilt are like the two fuel injectors, and the iac. Quote Selected
