If Jalopnik still did "Comment of The Day", this would be it by a landslide...

They switched it to "Conversation of The Day" not long ago. I don't know how many people read the site, but I am posting this to discuss a crazy reaction, nothing more. There are small elements in the comments of this article that could cause some political comments, if you can PLEASE don't make them! The powers that be, please crucify me as necessary if this thread takes a dive, but I feel this is noteworthy and hilarious so I am taking the risk.

This is the article. Jeff Dunham, love him or hate him, is kinda-sorta-or-something designing his own custom new Challenger.  ......That's it. Take a look at the comments.

Once you have done that, read this guy's observation

The reaction to this is frightening. Is this really what people are like  now? Just angry, judgmental, bitter, jealous, nasty, envious,  destructive and insulting? It's a successful car guy supporting an  American car company by doing something awesome with one of their  brilliant cars. What's not to love? I get the different strokes aspect  of opinions but what's going on here is a shame and it's infiltrated  this entire site. Anyone who isn't a 99%er is dragged down and beaten  mercilessly whether its the McLaren track guy, the charity Batman Lambo  guy, the dude in the Ferrari that had the cop intentionally stick his  foot under his tire, Will I Am or anyone who has had an accident in a  car worth more than 35K. You people behave like an angry pack of bitter  vultures constantly and it's shaging depressing. How about a little  positivity? A little patriotism? At the very least, how about behaving  like actual car people once in a while? They should change the name of  this place to [Jalopdicks.com] "where assholes flock to bitch". Seriously, when was the last time anyone here said anything positive about anything?

I laughed my ass off as I read it, but also nodded in agreement. Personally, yes the man is the simpleton-est of comedians....but he's raking it in. He's not trashing the environment to manufacture something...or building deadly things...or selling snake oil to poor innocent souls...he's just making money doing something that happened to work out. And supporting Chrysler/"Fiatsler" and being a fan of American Muscle cars. Why the vitriol? :rollin:
1987 20th Anniversary Cougar, 302 "5.0" GT-40 heads (F3ZE '93 Cobra) and TMoss Ported H.O. intake, H.O. camshaft

Lol. I could be wrong, but Jeff Dunham (dot com!) is not even in the same league as Tim Allen or Jay Leno.  Yeah, they are famous, but they seem to know quite a bit about our hobby too.  Jeff, well let's just say that the jury is still out.

It's apples to oranges to pears to bananas, really.

Sad when all people have time to do is bitch and criticize others instead of doing something creative on their own.

He's a funny guy, maybe not on the same level as Tim The Tool man or Leno or Letterman or Conan....who gives a shiznit. The fact that he's a car guy is enough. Dodge even? Hell, there's worse.

People are stupid. LOL
