OHHHHHHHHHHHH YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

Now if I could just make out like a bandit on a set of GT40 heads..lol

Kind of an interesting story...my buddy was taking the '86 Stang to the crusher after we'd stripped it (well, mostly his work...I did help with the rear though) and saw an Exploder....he looked it over..the intake was sitting inside, one head was off..seems the previous owner blew a head gasket...tried to fix it, and got overwhelmed, so they sold it all for s. My buddy made a deal with the owner of the yard for the heads and intake, knowing I was looking a for an Explorer upper/lower. (He has a Cobra GT40 for his car..)

My cost: a set of obsolete aluminum wheels for an even trade....BTW, my buddy is still lookin for some GT40 heads for me...thinking this is gonna be a fun winter for putting a new engine together, lol.

Figure I'll go with a stock bottom end, GT40 heads, explorer intake, TFS Stage 1 cam...definitely planning for mass flow set up, and potentially 24 pound injectors if need be....not sure what throttle body I'll go with, I'm going to do some (more) research on a suitable build that matches my goal....would like to have around 275-300 rwhp....we'll see.

there are 3 exploders in a junkyard by my old shop.. all V8.. all that those stupid cash for clunkers tags on the motor, meaning they're not allowed to sell ANY motor parts! so unfair.. there's 400 in profit to be made right there and i can't touch em :(
