Push the mirror around. There are three large Philips head screws behind the glass if i remeber correctly.

You can also simply unbolt the mirror from inside the car. Unscrew the single screw in the little triangle trim piece near the mirror from inside the car. Can't remeber where the clip is for the wiring, i wanna say its behind the door panel though.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

You'll need to remove the door panel to get to the power window connector. It's about half way down the door.

You can remove just the glass by pushing the part of the mirror glass by where it mounts to the door. Carefully but firmly grasp the mirror glass and pull it out with a snap. I've removed several that way without harm to the glass or my fingers.
