83 TBird Steel Wheel Reply #7 – December 17, 2010, 06:36:04 PM Well I went to the basp00get and yes they are still there. Not nearly as clean as your pic but the same rim none the less. When I get a chance I will spray a bit of black paint on it and snap a pic for you. Everything appears the same EXCEPT my date code is in a different spot. Using your pic as a refrence my code is to the top rt. It reads 11083 which I guess must be Jan 10 83? Quote Selected
83 TBird Steel Wheel Reply #8 – December 17, 2010, 07:08:47 PM Or, the date code could mean November,0,1983.LOL. Quote Selected
83 TBird Steel Wheel Reply #9 – December 17, 2010, 08:22:16 PM Interesting, could be a different wheel manufacturer? I'm thinking MW or MWI could be the maker? When you clean up your wheel, look for any other marks. I found 2 white spray paint dots on mine. Thanks, I look forward to seeing a picture and maybe I'll start a new thread outside of the Wanted area on 83 TBird wheels using what we find. Is there any spaces between the numbers 11083? If not the date code could be in a different format. Quote Selected
83 TBird Steel Wheel Reply #10 – December 27, 2010, 01:51:34 PM ok here are a couple pics, not great but hopefully you can see what your looking for code wise. I did look on the other one I still have and its 1 11 83 where the first one is 1 10 83 Quote Selected
83 TBird Steel Wheel Reply #11 – December 29, 2010, 01:00:06 AM Interesting....basically the same info, just a different format. Thanks Dan. Are you interested in selling a wheel if I can't find a closer date code?HCOR, did you happen to find any wheels? Quote Selected
