you will need pedals from a 87-93 mustang. the trans/clutch/flywheel ect...

its a fairly easy swap. check out coolcats.net for a full write up, and come back with any questions.

I used a sn-95 3.8 trans and bellhousing, fox stang pedals and clutch cable, a f-150 starter/flywheel and clutch ect.

worst part was gettin the hole in the floor, and the pedal swap.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Basically the mechanical part of it is identical to swapping a Fox Mustang from an AOD to a T-5 (I have done both).  There are some variances with wiring but that is about it.  If you have a 351W in the car I would not use a T-5 as they are not the strongest of 5 speeds but it would depend on the torque and hp level of your 351W.  If you are doing it to get out of a jam from a failed AOD and its just a stop gap to an upgraded transmission like a Tremec 500 (ten spline input shaft) or 600 (twenty-six spline input shaft) just make sure you pay attention to the input shaft spline count so you know if you will have to change the clutch plate later down the road.

Good luck with the swap!
