C3 overhaul - found fault

Hi, we've disassembled my C3 tranny, because of the strange noise on the 3rd gear. The problem is with damaged spring retainer and the similar ring held by snap ring on high - reverse clutch (probably thrust washer no. 2).

The question is, where can I buy new spring retainer and the thrust washers (as a set).

Yes, they ship, but they want 150$ for shipping here. I can't believe my eyes. The pack 565 costs 12,21$ and the shipping twelve times more. I don't know how big it is, but it contains only three plates and fistful of springs (20 small springs).

I need only parts 985 and 229, but when I click on 985, it shows me an error.

it's elementary my dear watson LOL it's super easy after you've done a few.. just need to keep a manual handy until you get a few under your belt

It's easier than it looks like :-D We have the Haynes Manual. There are plenty of pictures, how to do every single step. It's really much easier than our european manual transmissions.

Jcasssity, can you tell me please, how much should the pieces cost? I'm going to phone to one company here and ask them about the components. If you be able to write it here on tuesday or wednesday, it would be OK.

Fixed. The screwdriver shows the missing tooth of the spring retainer. The problem was probably in the wrong placed snap ring which fell of. I put it back and it holds well.

So, he broke something else in the trans? It looked like he had it all bundled up?
